i will say immediately when i saw blaire and you said she was this super popular and accepted figure to talk about trans people it made a lot of sense. the trans community has been riddled with acceptability politics for so long now that it just makes sense that a perfectly passing white skinny lady would be seen as reliable and a bridge between cis and trans people. and it makes sense that she would show so much hatred and disrespect towards fellow trans folk who don’t fit in with her and her precedent especially her targeting of fellow trans fem people is so disgusting because time and time again trans fem folks are thrown under the bus. it is a more uphill battle for someone assigned male at birth to pass as anything beyond that expecally with the insane beauty standards that biological women are held to so to see a trans women all of a sudden turn her back on folks who don’t pass as well as her is just fowl!!!!!

My mother was hit by a drunk driver and this caused an accident that gravely damaged her and left her unable to conceive for years even with medical help. She is still doing physical theapary to this day. Its been over 20 years. (because of this and other medical issues) So, me and this man about to catch hands.

It's been over 3 years but i think about this video often, i think about how it feels like it happened a long time ago yet it happened so recently. Since then so much has happened in my life it feels surreal, my home country was devastated during the pandemic around the time this video came out. People were dying in the streets, hospitals were full and bodies kept piling up to the point where they had to burn them in parking lots. I was lucky enough that no one in my family died of the pandemic but i think about the pictures of the charred lots, about how i couldnt go to the doctor because hospitals were full, how my parents couldn't be there for my grandmothers final moments as she died of congestive heart failure due to travel restrictions or how our president gave out vaccines to other countries while there was a national vaccine shortage, while people were dying by the tens of thousands.

Watching this in 2024 is still chilling. As I’m watching we’re getting another surge of covid. I’ve lost family friends to Covid, one of which was a huge voice for LGBT rights in Houston and a pastor, and passed away because she was caring for people without a place to stay and letting them stay safe in her church. Covid was definitely the biggest realization to me that we can never relate to the wealthy and famous. Our rules don’t apply to them. Our safety means nothing to them

my dad was tested positive for covid-19, and he told me about how terrified he was at the thought of leaving me and my mom all alone. i felt so miserable not being able to see him for days. i had a genuine fear he would be gone forever and i couldnt see him again. i wouldnt wish that on anyone. thank god he recovered
